ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION PENDING: The State of California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs (ADP) has issued a Notice that it intends to order discipline upon the above-named individual, pursuant to California Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 9, Division 4, Chapter 8, section 13070, and has directed Breining Institute to immediately post on the publicly accessible data base that this individual’s certification is subject to a pending ADP administrative action. The proposed order is based upon the ADP determination that counselor violated CCR section 13060 and the California Certified AOD Counselors Uniform Code of Conduct that prohibits counselors from committing dishonest acts related to the functions of a counselor, and for failure to keep records consistent with sound professional judgment, the standards of the profession, and the nature of the services being rendered. The ADP proposes to order suspension of counselor certification for six (6) months and require counselor to complete thirty-six (36) hours of ethics related education.
